Welcome to a new school year at Our Lady of Loretto School. We are so excited to be starting Kindergarten here! We have so much to be grateful for this coming school year. We are blessed to be a part of such a wonderful and supportive school community.
We begin our first day of school on August 25th! We will have dismissal at 10:30 am. I will meet the parents at the Kindergarten tree near Keane Care.
August 26 and 27th dismissal will be at 12:30 PM. Please remember to bring in a snack for your child along with a water bottle.
August 30-September 3rd will also be 12:30 PM dismissal days. The children will be getting to know one another as well as getting to know the routines of our classroom and school.
September 6th will be our Labor Day holiday and No School that day.
September 7-10 the children will again have 12:30 PM dismissal days. I will ask though that you send in your child's lunch that week so that we can practice eating lunch at school.
Some important dates to remember in September are:
September 8th is our Opening Liturgy at 10:00 am. Please join us if you are able as we love to have our parents at church with us.
September 9th is our Back to School night beginning at 6:00 PM. We invite all parents to attend this evening. Back to School night is an important night for you to get all the information you need for a successful Kindergarten year.
September 13 is the beginning of our 2:00 PM dismissal time.
September 14th our hot lunch program begins. The school serves hot lunch on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The price is $4.00 per lunch or a lunch card can be purchased. Information on this will be forthcoming in your Wednesday Window envelope.
September 15th is our Kick Off for our Gift Wrapping fundraiser. This is a great opportunity to get all the wrapping paper you will need for your Christmas holiday shopping.
September 16th is our school picture day. Students will need to be in full dress uniform.
September 22nd is our Running/Walking club assembly at 1:00 PM.
Wow we have so much going on and lots of fun already!
We look forward to a wonderful year together!
I am blessed to be part of a new group of Kindergartens who I will get to know and enjoy learning about. We have so much fun here in Kindergarten and I know you will as well.
