The PTG board has been hard at work to
produce both a realistic budget and a balanced fundraising
program. We would like your input. The following are some of
the things we have purchased or approved for the upcoming
school year. Please take the time to review the information
and give us your feedback. Thank you.
Recently purchased items:
1)
Headmaster Pro, an administration database designed
to run an efficient school.
2)
A series of Math books for grades K-8.
3)
Patio upgrade including new tables, umbrellas and
flowers.
Recently approved items:
1)
Musical instruments for Music class.
2)
A technology upgrade for our current computer system
the children use.
3)
A series of History books for grades K-8.
Along with these actual items, PTG monies
raised fund many other needed programs. The following are
just a few of these programs.
1)
Teacher supplies. Each teacher has a budget of
$200.00 to purchase supplies for class specific projects
throughout the year.
2)
Busses for fieldtrips. Each class has use of a bus on
one fieldtrip. This is very helpful in traveling somewhere
where parking is an issue.
3)
Room mother support. Each room mother has a budget of
$100.00 to help cover the cost of class parties.
4)
Teacher appreciation luncheon. This is a PTG funded,
4th and 5th grade room parent supplied
lunch for the staff to show our appreciation to them and
their dedication to our school.
5)
Kindergarten graduation. A cherished memory put on by
parents, PTG funded.
6)
8th grade breakfast. A tradition and
wonderful breakfast funded by the PTG and put on by the 1st
grade room parents.
As you can see the PTG funds raised go to
support a wide variety of programs and items that help to
make OLL the great school that it is. Please give us your
feedback, we are all part of the PTG and as a board we need
your input to better serve the entire OLL community. |
