Fr. McCain opened the meeting with a prayer. 

 

  • Pat Reeder was introduced as the Parish Administrator.  He spoke for a few minutes regarding his background experience and his new general duties around the parish and in the school. 

  • Patsy Berg spoke as noted in the previous minutes.

  • These speakers were followed by a presentation from our computer educators, Beyond Technology.  They reviewed what the students are working on currently and how the program transitions into the next two years involving the students and the teachers.  Questions were answered.

  • The Auction committee presented the website material for the silent auction.  A demonstration was given on the website and questions were answered.  Interested bidders may access the website from the ollnovato.org page.  All parents were encouraged to visit the site.

  • Ms. Maino presented a school update that included both the tuition increase and the projected enrollment as noted.  Also discussed was Monsignor’s 80th birthday, which falls on Ash Wednesday.  The students will celebrate his birthday with 80 hours of prayer.  A special dedication will be given at the school mass.  Coming up in March is Dr. Seuss Day and the students will celebrate by wearing pajamas to school and spend a portion of the day in silent reading.

  • Alison Falvey gave an update on the Walking club, which has been a success.  They are still looking for volunteers and continue to encourage the students to participate even if they have already completed their first marathon.
