Pastor’s report

  • The Finance Board met and discussed salary increases for teachers.  There will be a 5% increase, which means the ancillary staff salaries will need to be adjusted as well.

Principal’s Report

  • The Parent Teacher conferences went well.  The office appreciated patience shown by the parents regarding time discrepancies.

  • The school will celebrate Our Lady of Loretto’s feast day on December 10th.  There will be cards passed out at the 9 am Mass and then a reception in the courtyard with hot chocolate and churros.

  • Michael Pritchard will be our guest speaker on January 23rd, 2007.  He is a nationally acclaimed keynote speaker who uses humorous stories and other tools to educate his audiences on improving communication skills.  See michaelpritchard.com for details.

Old Business

  • Parent survey is still in progress.  School email addresses need to be formatted.

New Business

  • Volleyball wrap-up:  The CYO had a very good season.  There was excellent participation and it provided good marketing for the school.  CYO will need a new net for next year.  Otherwise most of the equipment is satisfactory.

  • Fundraiser updates:

    1. Auction:  There will be certain events that can’t be sold at the auction due to the change from fall to spring.  One of those is the front row seats at the Christmas Pagaent.  It was discussed how to auction that prior to the actual event.  Our auction website, Ebay, and feedback from the auction committee will be investigated.

    2. Crab Feed:  The DJ has been hired, a flyer to reserve the date will go out this week, and the committee will meet in December.  The committee will also work on a binder to pass on for future chairpersons.

    3. Chevy’s Fundraiser:  This needs to be planned for February, preferably on a Thursday before Lent starts.

  • February General Meeting:  School tuition will be the main focus of the meeting.  It was suggested that our computer company also do a presentation to talk about progress in the classroom and specific projects that the students are working on.

Treasurer’s Report

  •  The report was reviewed.  Wrapping paper income was verified for a total of $12,000.

7:30 Meeting was adjourned.
