PTG EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING

Present:  Father McCain, James Wilson, Kendal Savelli, Virginia Carroll, Rick Dalporto, Lori Limchayseng, Colleen Stubbs

 

6:30 Opened the meeting with a prayer.

 

Prior Minutes:  A motion was made to approve the May minutes.  It was seconded and passed.

 

Pastor’s Report:

  • More students are requesting financial aid.  There is $15,000 in unpaid tuition.  The Board needs to evaluate whether or not the PTG can support some of this aid.

  • Research is being done regarding the feasibility of outsourcing computer education for the classroom

  • Teachers have been hired for all the classes:

  • K:  Ms. Oswald

  • 1st: Mrs. Herrera

  • 2nd: Ms. Lynch

  • 3rd: Mrs. Kane

  • 4th: Mrs. Kraft

  • 5th: Mrs. Byrne

  • 6th: Mr. Smith

  • 7th: Ms. Claverie

  • 8th: Ms. Quinlan

 

Chairperson’s Report:

  •  New families are requesting more communication.  The board will create a survey and questions will address what type of communication families are searching for and the best way to deliver the information.

  • A proposal was presented by parents from the Kindergarten class to add another fund-raiser in February of next year with a ‘Sweetheart’s Dance’ for fathers and daughters.  The board will discuss the proposal in August.

  • Next year’s ‘Back-to-school Pot luck’ will be reintroduced and Cindy Wise has volunteered to help chair that event.  It will take place on a Saturday following the 5:00 Mass. 

  • Auction report:  the solicitation group will be active over the summer.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

  • The Budget was presented and reviewed.
