PTG EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING

Present:  Ms. Maino, Kendal Savelli, Virginia Carroll,  Rick Dal Porto, Lisa Serdengecti, Tina Mohn, Kasey Pine

 

6:00 Opened the meeting with a prayer.

 

Prior Minutes:  A motion was made to approve the minutes.  It was seconded and passed.

 

Principals Report:

 

  • Head Master Pro in-service held.  Program is working and by next year attendance will be done in class.

  • Classroom shades are wonderful.

  • Proposed an information flyer should be sent out regarding the success of our recent fund raisers and amount raised.

 

Auction Update:

 

  • Sign-up parties left over and will be announced in the Wednesday Windows.  Brochures are going out.

  • A bill will be issued from the rectory for the 10% of parties.

  • Fund-in-need exceeded expectations.

  • A wrap-up meeting will be held on Thursday, November 17, to talk about staffing and complete the binder for next year.

  • A person will be asked to shadow Tina Mohn to transition the position of chairperson for the auction.

  • A new date is being considered for next year, before Halloween.

  • Consideration is being given also for a new venue and a new band.

 

Chairperson’s Report:

 

  • Christmas Luncheon—on target and on budget.  The crafting is going well.  The decoration committee is still looking for the gold angels from past years.

 

  • Late Night Catechism—February 25, 2006.

 

  • Spring Fundraiser—needs to produce over $5000.  No crab feed this year.  One idea is a Drive-in movie.  Novato Park and Rec rents the equipment. 

 

  • Sock Hop—May 19, 2006

 

  • New Playground equipment—budget will be reviewed for that in January 2006.

 

 

 

Treasurer’s Report:

 

  • The budget was approved and seconded.

 

New Business:

 

  • February General Meeting:  School Board will present tuition changes.  There will be a general discussion and ideas included Technology and a Speaker for Kids on awareness of what’s going on in the world and issues of choking.

  • A flyer will be created for the February meeting thanking the different leads for fundraising.

  • PTG board is responsible for assisting with the Santa parties and members volunteered for donations.
