PTG EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING
OCTOBER 11, 2005

Present:  Ms. Maino, Kendal Savelli, Virginia Carroll, Fr. McCain, James Wilson, Rick Dal Porto, Lisa Serdengecti, Lori Limchayseng

 

6:10 Fr. McCain opened the meeting with a prayer.

 

Prior Minutes:  A motion was made to approve the minutes.  It was seconded and passed.

 

Principals Report:

 

  • Emergency Phone Tree—It was put into action the week of the fifth and glitches were worked out.  Many people wanted their cell phone numbers on the tree but it was decided to keep home phone numbers because of the hours the calls are being made.

 

  • Middle school electives—These started last week and generated a lot of excitement from the students. 

 

  • Web safety—This presentation will be given Thursday, October 13th, for the 4th-7th graders.

 

Chairperson’s Report:

 

  • School Board Meeting—the fiscal year end is June 30th and the budget must reflect donated party expenses with expiration dates.

 

  • Lenten Fundraiser—This fundraiser is still to be determined and the golf tournament may still be an option if the parish decides to do an

          ‘every other year’ golf event.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

 

  • 2006 FYE Budget—The budget was reviewed, approved and seconded.

 

New Business:

 

  • Discussion is continuing regarding protection of the computer programs and services.

 

 

Meeting adjourned to the general meeting at 6:55.

 

7:05 Fr. McCain opened the General meeting with a prayer.

 

Speaker:  Bill Tyler presented “Emergency Preparedness” with handouts on family disaster plans, disaster supplies kit lists, shelter facilities, and reference numbers.

 

Wrapping Paper Update:  Final numbers were presented with a gross profit of $14,000 and $4000 being donated to the Katrina relief.

 

Auction Update:  Tina Mohn updated the group and announced the winner of the class donation challenge.  First grade will be receiving a pizza lunch party next week.  A fund in need item, computer tables, was chosen and a picture was presented to the group.

 

Christmas luncheon—A reminder was given that it is coming soon and to look for the dates for crafting gifts for the boutique. 

 

School update—Ms. Maino introduced the teaching staff.
