Cathy again asked for consideration and seeking parishioners who would be willing to serve on the Spiritual Growth and Community Formation Committees. Vice Chair: Tom said that he sent e-mails to all of the parish organizations informing them of the desire to revive the coffee socials after the Sunday morning Mass. He suggested that the PC sponsor a couple of the socials to see what the response would be. Secretary: Holly said that she had e-mailed several parishioners from Our Lady’s Prayer Group regarding Fr. McCain’s request for volunteers to assist in the sacristy. Holly said that she would forward the information to Erin Troy at the rectory. Stewardship: No report. Hispanic Directiva: Carmen Chalfant reported that the Directiva would not have their food festival this year, but would have their Karimissa. The dance is on October 20th from 8:00 pm until midnight and tickets are $12.00 or $15.00 at the door. Proceeds will be used for needed funds. The Directiva also asked for more advanced notice in preparation for the parish picnic. They need more notice to plan for the Spanish choir, the Liturgy and Mass. The PC feels it would be more efficient with better communication and less division, if a member of the Diretiva would be willing to serve as a Parish Council member. Finance Board: Fr. McCain said that he has asked Roberto Herraru, CPA, to serve on the Finance Council and Roberto has accepted. The financial budget went out in the bulletin and has been presented to the parish. Patrick said that the Archdiocese Annual Appeal was currently at $82,000. School Board: Fr. McCain reported that the school is in a bind as they have lost eight students with enrollment down to 237 students. The budget is based on $6,000 per student and the school budgeted $30,000 in the event of lost enrollment. Fr. McCain said next year would be the school’s 50th Anniversary. There will be a much bigger push with more marketing and advertising for the school and Catholic education. NEW BUSINESS: None at this time. OLD BUSINESS: Capital Campaign: Estimates have been received for the various parish buildings and upgrades that need to be addressed. When decisions are made as to what can realistically be accomplished, the projects will go out for bid. A consulting company will be utilized for establishing the infrastructure of the Capital Campaign. Nominating Committee: As the two self-nominations received to serve on the Pastoral Council are incumbents, it was decided to inform the parish of the forgoing of the election and have a showing of hands. FROM THE PASTOR: Fr. McCain informed there is a change in leadership with the ICF and Guido Poli had moved to Petaluma. Greg Erigero and Joe Bondanza will be stepping into leadership roles.
