The purpose and role of the Pastoral Council is to serve as a collaborative and consultative body, by serving in an advisory capacity to the Pastor, for the life and mission of the Church and to work jointly to build the parish as a living Christian community. The primary responsibility of the Pastoral Council is to guide the direction of the parish by providing leadership, leading pastoral planning, initiating and directing policies which flow out of the parish's mission. This governance is to be formulating - focusing on the overview of the parish rather than administration. Day-to-day management of operations and the implementation of policies will be the role of the clergy, staff, committees and volunteers. Our Lady of Loretto's Pastoral Council meets the first Wednesday of the month in the School Library at 7:30pm.
