SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION

First Holy Communion and First Reconciliation

Preparation for First Holy Communion and First Reconciliation is a two year program,

normally beginning with First Grade with the sacraments being received in Second Grade. 

Children beginning the program during Second Grade with receive the sacraments during Third Grade.

Confirmation

Preparation for Confirmation is a three year program, normally beginning in Seventh Grade,

continuing in Eighth Grade, with the Sacrament of Confirmation being received during the spring of Ninth Grade.

 Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC)

While not maintaining a formal RCIC program, all are welcomed and encouraged to

come and discuss individual needs.  Then depending upon age and current knowledge

accommodation will be made to develop a process that will meet the needs of the child. 

This process includes those who have never been baptized as well as those who have

been baptized but never received their First Holy Communion or First Reconciliation.

2007 – 2008 CLASS TIMES

Monday:  4:00 to 5:00 PM  (Classes meet in the Parish School)

Grade 1 & Grade 3 through Grade 6

 Monday:  7:00 to 8:15 PM  (Classes meet in Keane Care Facility)

Grade 7 & Grade 8

 Tuesday:  4:00 to 5:00 PM  (Classes meet in the Parish School)

Grade 1 through Grade 6 (this includes all those in the second year

of preparation for First Holy Communion and First Reconciliation.)

Thursday:  7:00 to 8:30 PM (Classes meet in the Keane Care Facility)
